The introduction of the BBS MAG-R was the unmistakable highlight of the show. Engineered with direct inspiration from BBS Motorsport, the MAG-R is a forged magnesium wheel developed to deliver uncompromising performance on both the racetrack and the road.

Designed specifically for the BMW G8X M3, the MAG-R is over 30% lighter than the factory-equipped forged 20-inch OEM wheel, significantly reducing unsprung mass for sharper handling, quicker response, and enhanced driving dynamics. Production of the MAG-R is limited to just 50 sets worldwide, ensuring true exclusivity. Unlike conventional magnesium wheels, all BBS forged magnesium wheels feature a special OEM-certified coating that preserves the integrity of the magnesium, delivering durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance without compromise.

The BBS FL FORTEGA was developed to meet the evolving demands of modern vehicles. As electric vehicles, hybrids, and larger SUVs continue to grow in size and weight due to motors and battery systems, the need for lighter, stronger, and more rigid wheels has never been greater.

BBS introduces FORTEGA, a proprietary aluminum alloy developed entirely in-house as the optimal solution for these heavy-duty applications. The name FORTEGA combines the Italian words “forte”, meaning strong, and “lega”, meaning alloy, reflecting the material’s defining characteristic: exceptional rigidity.

FORTEGA delivers an ideal balance of strength, flexibility, and toughness, resulting in a wheel that is approximately 10% lighter than conventional T-6061 aluminum alloy, while maintaining extremely high rigidity. Developed through close collaboration between the BBS Motorsport teams in the USA and Germany, the RT88 represents the realization of a wheel that enthusiasts and racers alike have long requested.

Inspired by the legendary BBS E88 race wheel, the RT88 combines the iconic E88 center design with the super-strong, one-piece barrel derived from the BBS Japan LM program. This unique construction delivers the unmistakable motorsport aesthetic of the E88 while enhancing durability and rigidity for street and track-day use.

The E88 was so revered that many drivers ran the three-piece race wheel on the street—much to the concern of BBS Motorsport. Designed strictly for competition, the E88 featured uncoated components that required regular servicing and maintenance over time.
